KABUL(BNA): The General Directorate of Administrative Affairs has announced convening of a cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to discuss the Aqina-Andkhoy railway and the Kabul-Kandahar highway.
According to the press release, the first cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for the current Hijri year 1446 was chaired by Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, where several topics were discussed and decided upon.
During the meeting, the acquisition of 30 kilometers of land for the first phase of the Aqina-Andkhoy railway was discussed. A committee was assigned to closely examine the matters related to the acquisition of this land and present their findings at the next cabinet meeting.
Additionally, the Ministry of Public Works was tasked with holding discussions with the contracting companies regarding the construction of the second lane of the Kabul-Kandahar highway from Kabul to Ghazni. The outcomes of these discussions are to be shared with the Office of the Prime Minister to expedite the commencement of the construction work.
