Panjshir’s Mining Industry Flourishes with 10,000 Miners and New Projects on the Horizon

PANJSHIR(BNA): The Panjshir Directorate of Mines and Petroleum has announced that over 10,000 miners are currently engaged in 550 emerald mines across the province.

Mawlawi Mohammad Qasim Amiri, Head of Panjshir’s Mines and Petroleum Directorate, informed Bakhtar News Agency that the extraction of iron and silver mines in the province is set to begin soon.

Mawlawi Amiri also noted that since the resumption of mining activities in the province, approximately 60,000 carats of emeralds, valued at over four million dollars, have been sold to national and international traders through auctions.
