KANDAHAR(BNA): Kandahar has successfully exported 9,950 tons of onions in the past two months, yielding over two million dollars in revenue. Abdul Baqi Bina, deputy of the Kandahar Chamber of Commerce and Investment, shared this news with the Bakhtar News Agency, highlighting the province’s growing agricultural success.
The onions were primarily exported to neighboring Iran and Pakistan, showcasing Kandahar’s agricultural capabilities. Bina attributed the increase in production to the hard work and dedication of local farmers, who have improved their practices compared to the previous year.
The increase in onion production is expected to contribute positively to the livelihoods of local farmers and the overall economy of the province.
