KABUL(BNA): Mawlawi Abdul Rashid, the Mayor of Kabul, met with Fazıl Akın Erdoğan, Head of Turkey’s TIKA Organization, to discuss implementing urban development programs.
During the meeting, Mayor Abdul Rashid emphasized the longstanding friendship between Afghans and Turks, highlighting the need to strengthen urban cooperation between Kabul and Turkish cities. He called for mutual collaboration in scientific and technical sectors to enhance urban management.
In response, Erdoğan expressed support for Kabul Municipality’s new urban development plans. He pledged cooperation in areas such as capacity building for municipal staff, maintaining sustainable order, reducing congestion, designing new overhead bridges, and providing urban facilities.
