KABUL(BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the departure of the Acting Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, to the Russian Federation to participate in the Sixth Moscow Format Consultative Meeting on Afghanistan.
According to the Ministry’s Deputy Spokesman, the delegation, led by Foreign Minister Mawlawi Muttaqi, has been invited by the Russian Federation to engage in the high-level discussions concerning Afghanistan.
The Moscow Format Consultative Meeting, which brings together regional and international entities, will focus on addressing pivotal issues related to the current situation in Afghanistan.
It is also anticipated that during his visit, Mawlawi Muttaqi will hold bilateral talks with Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, on October 4. These discussions are expected to cover a wide range of topics, including enhancing bilateral cooperation and addressing mutual interests between Afghanistan and the Russian Federation.
