KABUL(BNA): Mujeeb-ur-Rahman Omar Akhundzada, Deputy Minister of Energy and Water, met with Johan Paul Morris, the Head of the DACAAR organization, in his office. The two sides discussed providing drinking water and recharging groundwater in the country.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Energy and Water, representatives of DACAAR expressed their interest in supporting Afghanistan with drinking water supplies and groundwater recharge initiatives.
In response, the Deputy Minister welcomed their interest and highlighted the ministry’s plans regarding groundwater recharge. He assured DACAAR of cooperation in this area.
In the end, both sides emphasized the need to sign a cooperation agreement to initiate practical work on these efforts.
