KABUL(BNA): Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, has warmly welcomed the interest expressed by Srinivasan Akapidi, the head of the Infrastructure Projects extraction company from India, regarding Afghanistan’s mineral resources.
In a press release issued by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, it was reported that during their meeting, Srinivasan Akapidi provided comprehensive insights into the company’s operations, highlighting its extensive experience of over 30 years in the mining sector, supported by a team of skilled engineers and specialists.
He emphasized the company’s keen interest in investing in the extraction of metals, precious stones, as well as oil and gas resources in Afghanistan.
For his part, the Acting Minister Badri acknowledged this interest and assured Mr. Akapidi that the Ministry would facilitate investment opportunities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations governing the mining sector, thereby fostering a collaborative partnership for sustainable development in Afghanistan’s mineral resources.
