NEW YORK, Oct 11 (Asia Free Press): Facebook introduced some new features to stop teenagers from misusing the platform

Around the world Facebook is one of the most visited site by teens but to take a break on aftermaths that the platform harms kids Facebook introduced some features such as “nudge” if you have the same content that does not promote their well-being.

According AP news agency Facebook also plans to come up with new checks for teenage adults as an option to allow parents to oversee what teens are doing online.

The decision followed the Facebook announcement made at the end of last month that it would suspend work on the Instagram for Kids projects. However, critics say the plan lacks details and is skeptical that the new features will work.

Facebook has invested $ 13 billion over the past few years to keep the platform secure, and the company has 40,000 people working on these issues, Facebook’s Vice President of Global Affairs Craig said. Facebook did its best to get rid of harmful content from the platform, but said he was ready to accept further regulation and surveillance. He added.

“We need to be more transparent,” AP quoted Craig as saying . He explains that the system Facebook is deploying is, if necessary, regulated “so that people can match what our system is supposed to do from what is actually happening.” Said that it should be retained in.

In the meanwhile Former Facebook data scientist whistleblower Francis Haugen attended Congress last week and said social media platforms didn’t make changes to Instagram after an internal investigation showed obvious harm to some teens. After blaming, there was a flood of interviews. A public battle against hatred and false information. Haugen’s accusation was corroborated by a tens of thousands of pages of internal investigation documents she secretly copied before quitting her job in the company’s civil integrity department.
