PYONGYANG, Oct 1 (Asia Free Press): North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on Friday pledged support for China’s fight against “hostile forces’ frantic anti-China confrontational moves”, state-run media reported.
in a message he sent to Chinese President Xi Jinping to celebrate the 72nd founding anniversary of the ally, Kim expressed belief that the Chinese nation’s dream of rejuvenation will surely come true as there are the socialist idea with the Chinese characteristics for the new times,” the Korean Central News Agency said.
“The WPK, the DPRK government and people will firmly support the Chinese party, government and people in their just struggle to defeat the hostile forces’ frantic anti-China confrontational moves and defend the sovereignty, right to development and territorial integrity of the country,” the agency quoted as Kim saying.
Kim was referring US and termed it as “hostile forces” because of its anti-China policy.
He added that now the two parties and two countries demonstrate the comradely unity while strengthening the strategic and tactical cooperation in the common struggle for advancing the cause of socialism and defending the regional peace and stability.
On Thursday, China urged the United States to leave its empty slogans and come up with realistic plan for dialogue with North Korea.
The foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said that North Korean justified and reasonable concerns need to be seriously addressed.
“Under the current circumstances, the key to breaking the deadlock on the Korean Peninsula and restarting dialogue is that North Korea’s justified and reasonable concerns should be taken seriously and addressed,” the Global Times quoted Hua as told reporters during routine press briefing.
“The US should not fall back on empty slogans calling for dialogue, but should demonstrate sincerity and come up with a realistic dialogue proposal,” Hua said.
