Srinagar, Feb 15 (AsiaFreePress): Indian police in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh has arrested a minor Kashmiri student for allegedly posting ‘objectionable’ status on messaging app ‘WhatsApp’ on the third anniversary of Pulwama attack.
Quoting sources, local news agencies reported that student a Bachelor’s Degree student at Swami Vivekanand Govt College Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh had posted “objectionable video” about the attack.
The student allegedly posted a video of the killed paramilitary CRPF personnel in Pulwama attack on Whats App and termed it “Babri’s revenge”.
Pertinently over 40 Indian paramilitary forces personnel were killed in a suicide attack on Srinagar Jammu highway on February 14, 2019.
The officials, in the meanwhile, said that an FIR in has been registered against the student and further investigations have been taken up.
The student who is studying under the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) is under police custody.
A police official while confirming the arrest of student said that he has booked under section 153, 505 and 124 (A).
