MASHHAD, Dec. 22, (Asia Free Press): The Japanese Ambassador to Iran, Kazutoshi Aikawa, claimed that his country is ready to expand cooperation with Iran, highlighting the long-standing ties between the two countries, according to media reports.
The ambassador made the remarks in a meeting with the Vice-Chairman of Astan Qods Razavi Malek Rahmati in Mashhad, reported IRNA.
“The cooperation between Japan and Iran in fighting against the coronavirus spread taking advantage of modern medical equipment and standing against the bilateral US sanctions as well as Tokyo’s humanitarian aids to the Afghan refugees settled along Iran’s border with Afghanistan”, Aikawa asserted while explaining ties between the two countries.
Rahmati stated that Iran and Japan were well aware of the dimensions of economic sanctions, which are one of the global arrogance’s domination tools, such as the US.
He claimed, “The US was the only country in history to actually use nuclear weapons, as no one in the world would forget the US’ nuclear attack on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”
“The very country that restricts other countries under the pretext of the possibility that those states may make nuclear weapons,” Rahmati added while denouncing America.
He also mentioned Astan Qods Razavi’s abilities in various fields, such as pharmacy, agriculture, and architecture, and stated that the entity was willing to collaborate on projects such as desalination and the digital economy.
