Muhammad Yousif Al-Asam, Commander Royal Bahrain Naval Force Rear Admiral attended the Course Commission Parade as the Chief Guest

KARACHI, Dec 25, (Asia Free Press): Muhammad Yousif Al-Asam, Commander Royal Bahrain Naval Force Rear Admiral, today attended the Course Commission Parade of 116th Midshipmen and 24th Short Service Commission (SSC) of Pakistan’s Navy as the Chief Guest at Pakistan Naval Academy (PNA), Karachi.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi and other senior civil-military officials and parents of cadets were present at the passing out parade. The commissioning contingent comprised 103 Pakistani midshipmen, 02 from Bahrain Defense Forces, 01 from the State of Palestine, and 28 officers from SSC Course, according to the official statement issued by DGPR Navy.

In the welcome address, Commandant Pakistan Naval Academy Commodore Sohail Ahmad Azmie, highlighted the quality education afforded to Pakistani and friendly countries’ Cadets at Naval Academy.

While addressing the occasion, the Chief Guest congratulated the commissioning term for completing the training and highlighted the modern warfare dynamics.

“Upon the importance of remaining resolute while taking up the sacred task of defending their countries”, The Chief Guest added while underlining challenges of responsibility for newly commissioned officers.

He also urged the newly commissioned officers to put up their best to live up the glorious tradition of their services and become a pride of their nation.

Pakistan’s Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi, has also appreciated friendly countries’ Midshipmen on being commissioned in forces of their respective nations.

Upon good performance throughout the course, Chief Guest gave awards to the distinction holders. The prestigious Quaid-i-Azam Gold Medal was awarded to Lt Moiz Ahmed for his overall best performance. Midshipman Muhammad Usama Hussain Baig claimed the coveted Sword of Honour, whereas Midshipman Huzaifa Javed Niazi clinched the Academy’s Dirk.

Officer Cadet Abdallah H M Maqdasawi from the State of Palestine was awarded Chief of the Naval Staff Gold Medal, while Commandant Gold Medal was awarded to Officer Cadet Salar Muhammad from Short Service Commission Course, according to the official statement.
