Facing $2.59 trillion shortfall in infrastructure needs itself, US must supplement not confront China’s BRI

United States is facing a whopping $2.59 trillion shortfall in infrastructure needs. In this context, Joe Biden’s claim that they will mobilize nearly $600 billion from the G7 by 2027, a disguise to “confront” or “compete” with China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Another ‘carrot’ as Global Times called it, or just a hoax to lure partners ‘in its another dangerous game’.
The purpose of the US, GT editorial said,  is to sabotage the China-proposed BRI and the carrot it is dangling is in fact used by Washington to attack China.

Even though US has thrown out its claim to contribute $200 billion out of the $600 billion goal, the rest will be shared by the other six countries. For the US, however it is impossible, to take out $200 billion.

Biden’s words have less takers in global markets as US has invested a merely $6 million in global infrastructure construction in past. Questions have risen of Biden’s real intentions as to how can his words to bring forward $200 billion be accepted, except a plan to disrupt China’s BRI.
