Islamabad: Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Hasan Akhund has appreciated that ‘Pakistan stands by Afghanistan as a Muslim brotherly country in these difficult times.’
Akhund spoke with Shebaz Sharif Prime Minister of Pakistan on phone, discussed the recent earthquake that shook Afghanistan leaving 1000 dead and more than 1400 injured.
Sharif expressed condolences on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, to Akhund for the loss and damages made by the recent earthquake and assured of comprehensive cooperation.
“We stand with Afghan people in this difficult time & we have opened the doors of Angor-Ada & Ghulam Khan Bandar to those affected by the recent tragedy”.
PM Sharif added, “Instantly after the incident, our first aid package reached the area and I instructed the relevant agencies to provide and deliver other necessary items.”
He also assured of continued efforts on the world stages to free the frozen assets of Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Hasan Akhund expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for his condolences and said, “We appreciate the fact that Pakistan stands by Afghanistan as a Muslim brotherly country in these difficult times.”
Prime Minister Hasan Akhund stated that Afghanistan has been severely affected by natural disaster and the world and donor countries should provide immediate assistance to the vulnerable and needy people of Afghanistan.
