DHAKA: Acting President and Speaker of the Bangladesh Parliament Hafizuddin Ahmed on Monday hosted a lunch in the honour of the visiting former Pakistani Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Syed Anwer Mahmood, here in Dhaka.
The lunch was hosted at the Speaker’s House on the conclusion of former federal secretary’s visit to Bangladesh.
The goodwill visit was undertaken on the invitation of Bangladesh’s Acting President.
During his stay in Bangladesh, former secretary Information Anwer Mahmood met several government officials, and discussed the need for enhanced people-to-people contacts to strengthen the Pak-Bangladesh relations.
Earlier this month, the former secretary Information also witnessed a cricket match along with Bangladesh’s Acting President at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
