Qatari Ambassador Commits to Increased Aid for Afghan Returnees from Pakistan

KABUL (BNA): Qari Deen Mohammad Hanif, the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Chairman of the Committee for Raising Funds for Returnees, held a meeting with Saeed bin Mubarak Al Khayarin, the Qatari Ambassador.

During the meeting, Mr. Hanif discussed the provision of emergency aid to those affected by recent natural disasters in Herat province and the challenges faced by Afghan returnees from Pakistan.

The Qatari Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the committee’s efforts and pledged to enhance humanitarian collaboration with the returnees. It’s noteworthy that a significant number of Afghans, totaling 340,608, have returned from Pakistan in the past month.
