KABUL(BNA): Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister of Art and Culture at the Ministry of Information and Culture, recently met with Mardif Al-Qeshouti, Counselor at the Qatari Embassy in Kabul, to discuss efforts to enhance Afghanistan’s cultural and historical foundations over the past three years.
According to a statement from Bakhtar News Agency, Deputy Minister Azizi highlighted Afghanistan’s rich heritage in historical and artistic artifacts. He expressed Afghanistan’s readiness for collaboration in Islamic architecture, calligraphy, miniature art, museums, and joint exhibitions, emphasizing the significance of research and mutual understanding in these areas.
Counselor Al-Qeshouti conveyed Qatar’s commitment to supporting Afghanistan’s cultural and artistic progress, describing it as both a religious and humanitarian duty. He stated that Qatar is prepared to play a significant role in the preservation and reconstruction of Afghanistan’s cultural and historical landmarks, based on a bilateral agreement to strengthen cultural cooperation between the two nations.
