ISLAMABAD, Sep 27, (Asia Free Press): Pakistani security agencies on Monday arrested two Daesh terrorist from southern port city of Karachi, local media said.
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) carried out a joint operation in Mauripur Road area of Karachi and apprehended two terror suspects linked to Islamic State (IS) group, local English daily Dawn reported.
The suspected men were held along with two pistols and a few rounds the CTD claimed. They have been identified as Naseemullah alias Naseem and Mohammed Isa alias Molvi Idris, the report added.
According to CTD official Mashar Mashwani, the suspects were trained in Shorawak and Baramcha areas of Afghanistan and have expertise in the use of explosive material.
The CTD has registered cases against both the detained men and they were being further interrogated, while relevant police stations had been approached for more information, the official said.
