Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police organized a comprehensive and effective awareness walk under the anti-narcotics movement “Nasha Ab Nahi.”

Senior officers of Islamabad Police, a large number of students, citizens, Friends of Police, and civil society members actively participated in the walk.

The awareness walk started from Shaheen Chowk and, passing through various routes, concluded in front of NDU University. On this occasion, participants were carrying banners and placards bearing slogans aimed at creating awareness against narcotics abuse.

The participants expressed their resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with Islamabad Police in this campaign against narcotics. The objective of the walk was to educate society, particularly the younger generation, about the harmful effects of drugs and to encourage collective struggle against narcotics.

IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that drugs are a social menace that pose a serious threat not only to the youth but to society as a whole.

He emphasized that efforts by law enforcement departments alone are not sufficient to eliminate drugs, rather, every segment of society must play its role.

The IGP Islamabad further said that the “Nasha Ab Nahi” movement is not limited to any single group but is for every citizen, every student, and every family.

He made it clear that Islamabad Police are continuing large-scale crackdowns against drug dealers and that no leniency will be shown in this regard.

At the conclusion of the walk, participants reaffirmed their commitment to consider the fight against drugs as their collective responsibility and to play an active role in spreading awareness, so that a healthy, safe, and drug-free society can be achieved.
