KABUL (BNA): The Japan Embassy in Kabul has unveiled a new $58.4 million aid package for Afghanistan.
The embassy stated in a statement that the goal of providing this support is to secure the delivery of humanitarian aid to meet the people of Afghanistan’s basic necessities.
The embassy noted, “We hope that this assistance contributes to the preservation and improvement of the Afghan people’s dignified and self-sufficient lives.”
The new Japanese aid package is expected to be delivered through United Nations agencies, international organizations, and Japanese non-governmental organizations.
The embassy stated that with this $58.4 million assistance, Japan’s total aid to Afghanistan has reached $447 million from August 2021 until now.
