On October 5, Imran Khan, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, celebrated his 71st birthday while detained in Adiala jail on charges related to the cipher case.
To mark the occasion, PTI has planned a peaceful gathering outside Adiala jail, where prayers will be offered for the well-being and safety of the former premier. Additionally, PTI has called upon the public to assemble at their nearby mosques at 5 pm to join in prayers for Imran Khan.
Imran Khan has been in detention since his arrest on August 5, following a court decision in Islamabad that sentenced him to three years in jail in the Toshakhana case. Although the Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended his sentence on August 30, he remained incarcerated as a special court subsequently placed him in the custody of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on judicial remand in connection with the cipher case.
