ISLAMABAD, Sep 17, (Asia Free Press):Chinese space crew safely returns to Earth on September 17 after successfully completing the 90-day space mission aboard the Tianhe space station module.
The three astronauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo landed safely in the region of Inner Mongolia in the north of China at 1:34pm (05:34 GMT), as reported by the state media.
This was their first trip to and from the space station. They conducted tests, performed maintenance and went on spacewalks during their stay.
In the 1990s China set up its own space station program after being excluded from the International Space Station, due to objections by U.S. to the Chinese space program’s secrecy and military backing.
