Zabihullah Mujahid says US respect Afghanistan airspace, drone operation is breach of nation security
ISLAMABAD Sep 29 (Asia Free Press): Afghanistan government on Wednesday warned the US for negative consequences over its continue drone operation in the war-torn country.
In a statement, Afghan government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said US should respect Afghanistan sovereignty.
“We recently saw United states violating all international rights, law and United States’ commitments to the Islamic Emirate in Doha, Qatar, as Afghanistan’s sacred airspace is being invaded by US drones,” Zabihullah Mujahid said.
“These violations must be rectified and prevented.”
Despite withdrawal of its forces from Afghanistan, US still monitoring the war-torn country through its drone that spread fear among Afghan citizens.
“Countries, under international laws are the sole owners of their state territorial and air sovereignty. Therefore, Islamic Emirate, as the sole legal entity of Afghanistan, is the custodian of Afghanistan’s land and airspace,” Mujahid explained
He called on all countries, especially United States, to treat Afghanistan in light of international rights, laws and commitments and considering mutual respect and commitments, in order to prevent any negative consequences.
Last month, US forces targeted a civilian house in Kabul and killed 10 people including seven children and said they killed Daesh affiliates.
However, later on Sept. 17, Pentagon said that target was a mistake and they apologised to the victim family.
The relatives of the victims rejected US apology and demanded the international community for actions under war crimes laws against the Washington
