KABUL: Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with representatives of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of Saudi Arabia who participated in the Moscow Format meeting in Russia and discussed the expansion of bilateral relations.
According to a statement released by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, in a meeting with the Special Representative of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan in the Moscow format meeting, Muttaqi praised the country’s positive position on Afghanistan in regional and international meetings, including the Moscow Format, and discussed the expansion of relations between the two countries.
The acting foreign minister also met with Prince Jael Bin Turki Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s representative in the Moscow Format.
In addition to discussing bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, the meeting also focused on future meetings between Afghan officials and Saudi Arabia as well as Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, attended the Moscow Format meeting in Kazan, Russia, a day earlier and called for more countries to engage with Afghanistan.
