BADAKHSHAN (BNA) Local officials of Badakhshan say that Tuesday morning, Mawlavi Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, the deputy governor, was martyred in a suicide attack in that province.
The attack took place early Tuesday morning on Mawlavi Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi’s vehicle in Fayzabad city, the center of this province, said the head of information and culture of this Badakhshan, Mauzuddin Ahmadi, to Bakhtar News Agency.
The blast martyred Mawlavi Naseer Ahmad Ahmadi and injured 6 people, Ahmadi added.
Medics in Badakhshan called the health condition of some of the injured in this incident as concerning.
Meanwhile, security sources have started efforts to identify and arrest the perpetrators of this incident.
