TEHRAN, Jan 12, (Asia Free Press): Hossein Amirabdollahian, Foreign Minister of Iran, said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been on the good side of regional developments and cooperation by resolving crises and disputes, either in the campaign against Daesh (ISIS) or in regional negotiations, local media reports.

Hossein Amirabdollahian told reporters on the sidelines of his meeting with the Emir of Qatar and his Qatari counterpart, in which bilateral ties were discussed. The Emir of Qatar had very precious views on bilateral relations both the countries, according to IRNA.

“We reached agreement that during the upcoming days an Iranian delegation will visit Qatar and we will have cooperation in economic, trade, scientific, and technological fields, including in health and harnessing the COVID-19 fields,” Iranian FM disclosed this with media officials.

On regional dialogues, Amirabdollahian said that Iran has always announced readiness in that respect, also added, “Iran has also proposed plans for cooperation in the Persian Gulf region, and the esteemed Emir of Qatar, too, has always welcomed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ideas”.

The Foreign Minister said that Iran supports any initiative that will contribute to long-lasting regional stability and security, adding that the Emir of Qatar, too, had good proposals and suggestions in that respect, which “we welcome, while prosing our own initiatives, and we hope for evermore development and advancement of the region”.

Responding to media about ongoing Vienna talks, FM claimed, “Naturally, some of the negotiating sides in Vienna try to broadcast false news, which cause worries for our neighbors”.

Therefore, one of the objectives of this regional visit is presenting Iran’s narration of the Vienna negotiations to our neighbours and friends countries in the region, present us some consultations about the talks,” the Minister concluded.

Iranian FM Hossein Amirabdollahian paid an official visit to Gulf countries like Oman and Qatar and discussed bilateral efforts, issues, and plans.
