RIYADH, Jan 18, (Asia Free Press): Brigadier General Turki Al Malki, the official Spokesperson of the Saudi-led Coalition, whom to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, has called the terror attacks on UAE’s civilian facilities as war crimes and that perpetrators of this act will be held accountable, local media reported.
A statement issued by the coalition has strongly condemned the attack by Houthi terrorist militia, vowing to undertake all necessary measures to deter such attacks against Saudi Arabia and the UAE, according to Khaleej Times.
Saudi Arabia also intercepted eight bomb-laden drones on Monday targeting the Kingdom, according to the statement released by the Saudi-led body.
The hostile attacks of the terrorist, Iran-backed Houthi militia that deliberately targeted civilians, civilian objects and economic installations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates is an act of war crime which is a significant threat to regional stability, the statement said.
The aggressiveness showed by the Houthi militia against the brotherly United Arab Emirates through targeting two economic facilities and Abu Dhabi International Airport, which the terrorist militia has claimed responsibility for as a proxy of Iran in the region, is totally against International Humanitarian Law that contradicts all humanitarian values by deliberately targeting innocent civilians, the statement comprised.
The statement lastly stated that the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition would undertake all necessary measures to deter these hostile acts of the Houthi militia against civilians, civilian objects and economic installations in the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates in response to the threat and fulfilment of the principle of military necessity to protect civilians and civilian objects.
Yesterday, authorities in the Gulf country said three fuel trucks exploded, and a fire broke out at a construction site near Abu Dhabi International Airport, killing three people from India and Pakistan and injuring six others in what officials say was an operation using missiles and drones.
After the said attack, the United States, China, Pakistan, Turkey and other major countries and Organizations have also condemned the Houthi militia for the attack and vowed to hold militia accountable.
