KABUL(BNA): Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, Spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has responded to UNAMA’s criticism of the Ministry of Vice and Virtue, stating that the critique is unjustified.
Mujahid emphasized in a statement, that the directives issued by the ministry are based on well-established Islamic principles. He argued that UNAMA’s approach of evaluating Afghanistan through a Western lens is inappropriate, insisting that the country should be assessed as an Islamic society.
He highlighted that the aspirations of the Afghan people, who are overwhelmingly Muslim and have made significant sacrifices to establish an Islamic system, should be respected and considered.
