According to the details, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office Islamabad. The meeting was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joiya, DIG Security Muhammad Atiq Tahir, DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, along with AIGs, SSPs and other senior police officers.

IGP Islamabad conducted a detailed review of the overall law and order situation in the federal capital, the current crime rate, ongoing operations, and technology-based reforms introduced within the police force. While being briefed on the smart integration of the Safe City project, new tech-based initiatives, and the progress of various development projects, he stated that Islamabad Police is continuously improving the use of modern technology to provide fast, transparent, and smart services to citizens. He directed all officers to further strengthen these initiatives and align them with public needs.

IGP Islamabad also directed all officers to intensify intelligence-based measures for complete crime prevention, and to accelerate the crackdown against illegal arms holders, drug dealers, motorcycle lifting gangs, accused involved in residential and commercial thefts, and organized criminal groups.

He emphasized that all divisional officers should enhance targeted search operations, checkpoints, and patrolling systems on a daily basis to curb crime at its initial stage and ensure a safer environment for citizens.

Furthermore, the IGP Islamabad reviewed matters related to police welfare and directed that the well-being of police officials—including housing, duty schedules, medical facilities, and other basic needs—must be prioritized. He stated that quality service delivery is only possible when police officials themselves work with satisfaction and proper facilities. He added that ongoing welfare programs should be further improved and maximum support must be provided to the force.

IGP Islamabad also directed the CTO Islamabad to ensure the implementation of a modern traffic management system, camera integration, field staff training, and deployment of additional officials at busy locations in view of increasing traffic activity in the federal capital. He issued strict instructions for effective enforcement of traffic laws, prevention of accidents, and legal action against drivers involved in overspeeding and serious traffic violations.

In conclusion, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi reaffirmed that Islamabad Police is fully committed not only to eliminating crime but also to enhancing public trust, promoting community-friendly policing, and ensuring a safe environment. He further directed all officers to adopt courteous behavior with citizens, resolve their issues promptly, and ensure continuous improvement in the overall standard of policing.
