Government Officials Assesses TAPI Project Progress in Herat Province

HERAT(BNA): A delegation led by Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, recently visited the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) project developments in Herat province.

The delegation included Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the Governor of Herat, Alhaj Mohajer Farahi, Deputy Minister of Publications at the Ministry of Information and Culture, and representatives from Turkmenistan.

During the visit, the officials discussed the importance of expediting the work process to ensure the timely completion of this significant project. They highlighted the strategic role of the TAPI pipeline in enhancing regional energy security and fostering economic cooperation.

As of now, approximately eleven kilometers of the gas pipeline have been completed within Afghanistan. The officials reiterated their commitment to advancing the project and addressing any challenges that may arise.
