ISLAMABAD: Great Wall Motor (GWM) has officially launched its premium off-road SUV, the Tank 500, at a Haval flagship dealership in Pakistan, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion within the local automotive market. The launch was announced in January 2026, with the vehicle introduced in both Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) variants.
Positioned as a luxury full-size SUV, the Tank 500 combines rugged off-road capability with modern design and advanced technology. The vehicle features a powerful hybrid powertrain, an advanced four-wheel-drive system, and premium interior amenities, catering to customers seeking both performance and comfort.
According to GWM, bookings for the Tank 500 will commence later this month, while deliveries are expected within the next few months. The company stated that the launch reflects the growing demand in Pakistan for technologically advanced, fuel-efficient, and premium SUVs.
Speaking on the occasion, General Manager Rehan Zafar said that the launch of the Tank 500 at the Haval flagship dealership represents an important milestone for GWM in Pakistan. He added that the introduction of the premium SUV underscores the company’s commitment to offering globally competitive vehicles equipped with advanced technology and sustainable mobility solutions. He further noted that the Tank 500 has been designed to meet the evolving preferences of Pakistani consumers who seek luxury, performance, and off-road capability without compromising on efficiency.
