KABUL(BNA): Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, Mullah Ataullah Omari, met with a delegation of Uzbek investors on Sunday to discuss potential agricultural investments in the country.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the three investors from Uzbekistan expressed interest in exploring business opportunities in Afghanistan’s agricultural sector. They highlighted their visit as part of efforts to assess investment prospects in farming, irrigation, and agribusiness.
Minister Omari assured the delegation that Afghanistan is committed to facilitating foreign investments, emphasizing the government’s readiness to support agricultural development initiatives. He noted that Afghanistan’s fertile land and abundant resources present significant opportunities for regional investors.
The meeting reflects a growing interest from international stakeholders in Afghanistan’s agricultural industry, as the country seeks to attract foreign capital to boost food security and economic growth.
