JEDDAH, January 24 (Asia Free Press): The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen said two foreigners, including Sudanese and Bangladeshi, sustained minor injuries when a ballistic missile fired by Houthi militia had fallen in the south of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia, according to local media reports.
Several workshops and civilian vehicles were damaged in the attack, which targeted the industrial zone of Ahad Al Masarihah in south-western Saudi Arabia, state news agency SPA reported.
The coalition has been fighting the Houthi group in Yemen since 2015. It has intensified airstrikes on Houthi military targets after the group carried out an assault on the United Arab Emirates on previous Monday and further missile and drone launches at Saudi cities.
On January 17, 2022, authorities in the Gulf country said three fuel trucks exploded, and a fire broke out at a construction site near Abu Dhabi International Airport, killing three people from India and Pakistan and injuring six others in what officials say was an operation using missiles and drones.
Earlier this month, Houthi militias also hijacked a UAE flag-bearing cargo ship called “Rawabi” off the coast of Al Hudayah Governorate on January 2, 2022, carrying medical field equipment for a Saudi Field Hospital on the island.
The United States, China, Pakistan, Russia, Bangladesh, Turkey and other major countries and Organizations have strongly condemned the Houthi militia for their consecutive attacks and vowed to hold militia accountable.
