ISLAMABAD, Dec 29, (Asia Free Press): The out-going Greek Envoy Andreas Papastavrou, on Wednesday called upon by Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi who emphasized enhanced bilateral cooperation and engagement in the domain of culture, education, and tourism.
The foreign minister also stressed the need for the exchange of delegates in the fields of trade & investment and commerce between the two countries.
Shah Mahmood said Pakistan considered Greece as an important country in the context of the European Union member-state. He claimed around 30,000 Pakistani diaspora were contributing to the economic development of Greece.
The foreign minister expressed gratitude to the outgoing Ambassador Papastavrou while appreciating the efforts of Greece to ensure the repatriation of around 600 Pakistani nationals during the COVID-19 related restrictions.
The out-going Greece ambassador also extended his gratitude to the Foreign Minister.
