KABUL(BNA): A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock recently met with Abdullah Iren, Director General of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), during an official visit to Turkey. The Afghanistan delegation was led by Mawlavi Sadra Azam Osmani, Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Osmani emphasized Afghanistan’s significant potential in the agriculture and livestock sectors. He stated that leveraging these resources could play a crucial role in achieving food self-sufficiency and fostering economic growth in the country. Osmani expressed the Ministry’s readiness to implement practical and sustainable projects in collaboration with Turkey, leveraging their expertise and support.
Abdullah Iren welcomed the Afghan delegation and expressed condolences for the earthquake victims in Nangarhar, Kunar, and Laghman provinces, offering prayers for their recovery. He assured the delegation of TIKA’s commitment to enhancing agricultural cooperation with Afghanistan.
In conclusion, Maulvi Zamir Osmani expressed appreciation for TIKA’s ongoing support and stressed the importance of continued collaboration to strengthen Afghanistan’s agricultural sector.
