KABUL(BNA): Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, attended the funeral ceremony of Martyr Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani in Gurda Seray district of Paktia province.

During the ceremony, Mullah Baradar prayed for the departed soul, describing him as a devoted Mujahid and a sincere servant of the nation. He emphasized that Haqqani’s loss is an irreparable tragedy for the Islamic Emirate.

The Deputy Prime Minister, alongside other attendees, extended condolences to the bereaved family members, including Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Minister of Interior Affairs. Prayers were offered for the martyr’s soul to rest in paradise and for patience and strength for his family.

Martyr Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, the Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriation Affairs, was tragically killed on Wednesday afternoon in an insurgent attack carried out by Khawarij elements.
