PARWAN(BNA): The head of the Disaster Management Authority of Parwan has said that heavy rains and sudden flash floods last night in the Siyahgird and Koh Safi districts of this province have caused financial damages.
Mawlavi Abdul Aleem Afzali, head of this department, told Bakhtar News Agency that as a result of these floods in Sardar-e-Fandoqstan of Siyahgird district and Darah Mandiqul of Koh Safi district, dozens acres of agricultural land, more than two kilometers of road, 21 irrigation canal dams, two residential houses, and hundreds of fruit and non-fruit trees have been destroyed. The Parwan–Bamyan highway has also been blocked.
He added that this is preliminary data, and the possibility of further damages for local residents remains.
