Turkey Pledges Support for Afghanistan Amid Difficult Circumstances

KABUL (BNA): Acting Interior Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani recently welcomed Turkey’s new Chargé d’Affaires for Afghanistan, Jang Onal, in an introductory meeting.

Sirajuddin Haqqani expressed his hopes for success in Onal’s endeavors and emphasized the deep historical ties between Afghanistan and Turkey, advocating for stronger relations between the two Muslim nations.

Onal echoed these sentiments, highlighting the common values shared by both nations and asserting that close relations can ensure their protection.

He expressed his commitment to nurturing and expanding these ties, stating that Turkey considers it a duty to stand by Afghans during challenging times.

Onal commended the Islamic Emirate’s efforts in ensuring nationwide security and observed that the situation in Afghanistan is improving daily. He also praised the Islamic Emirate’s decisive stance and effective fight against drugs, promising Turkey’s cooperation in this regard.

Furthermore, Onal mentioned the arrival of the eighth train loaded with humanitarian aid, expressing his hope that this assistance will bring relief to many in need.
