ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter organized a grand event at the Islamabad Monument to pay tribute to veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani on his fourth death anniversary.

Addressing the ceremony, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq said that Syed Ali Gilani spent most of his life in Indian jails and dedicated his entire life to the freedom struggle. He said that the Indian army was so afraid of his mortal remains that they did not allow him to perform his funeral prayers. The slogan of this mujahid, “We are Pakistanis, Pakistan is ours,” is the slogan of every Kashmiri today. He said that today a corner has been created in his name at this place in which his belongings are present. The prayer place where he used to pray and the Holy Quran that he used to study are present in the Syed Ali Gilani corner. He said that nations that forget their ancestors do not survive.

He said, “We will remain fully connected with the Kashmir freedom movement to fulfill the dream that Syed Ali Gilani yearned for in his life. The brave, courageous and fearless man in whose memory we have gathered today, had a firm belief in Jihad in the way of Allah. He said that they would take the Kashmir freedom movement to its logical conclusion.

He said, “I want to tell Narendra Modi that if your brutal Indian army does not stop the atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, we will invade and kill the Indian army, and this time we will also stay there.

The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir also paid tribute to the Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the political and military leadership of Pakistan, saying that the Pakistani political and military leadership is determined to fight more wars for Kashmir.

Rana Qasim Noon, Chairman of the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee, paid tribute to Syed Ali Gilani and said Syed Ali Gilani played a central role in the Kashmir freedom movement, who endured the hardships of imprisonment.

On this occasion, slogans of “Long live Pakistan, Long live the Pak Army, We are Pakistanis, Pakistan is ours, and Kashmir will become Pakistan” were raised.

Special prayers were also offered for the martyrs of Kashmir, the Pakistan Army, and the success of the Kashmir freedom movement.
