UN Urges Increase of cooperation with Afghan Education Sector

KABUL (BNA) The rapporteur of the United Nations travel to Afghanistan and urges increase of cooperation with the education sector of the country.

The UN rapporteur Katharina Merkel and James Darcey travel to Herat and said that the UN is still committed to supporting Afghanistan education sector.

The UN representatives met the provincial education director of Herat, Mawlavi Abdullah Ameni and discuss improving the educational system and influencing the cooperation of the UN in the sector of education.

Ameni said, that education dept of Herat is striving to provide a standard education system with the cooperation of national and international donor organization in this sector.

Ameni asked for the increase of cooperation from the aid organizations with the education department of the province.

The evaluation of the activities of the UNICEF organization in the sector of quality education said the main reason of their trip to Herat.
