KABUL(BNA): Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, has revealed plans to establish a new industrial town in Herat, during a meeting with the provincial governor and prominent investors.

As reported by Bakhtar News Agency, Minister Azizi commended the efforts of Governor Sheikh Mawlana Islam Jar for fostering a conducive environment for private sector growth. He noted that the improved security in Herat has drawn investors from various provinces to the industrial sector in the region.

Minister Azizi also announced that efforts to develop industrial towns are ongoing, with the new industrial town set to span 50,000 acres. This initiative is expected to further boost economic activity and attract additional investments.

Meanwhile, Herat Governor Sheikh Mawlana Noor Ahmad Islam Jar, referring to the industrialists as the “economic Mujahideen,” assured full support from the local administration in facilitating investments and creating favorable conditions for business growth.
