{"id":743,"date":"2021-09-21T19:26:39","date_gmt":"2021-09-21T19:26:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.asiafreepress.com\/?p=743"},"modified":"2021-09-25T17:31:31","modified_gmt":"2021-09-25T17:31:31","slug":"afghan-pm-and-special-representatives-of-neighboring-countries-gathered-at-kabul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asiafreepress.com\/en_gb\/asia\/afghanistan\/afghan-pm-and-special-representatives-of-neighboring-countries-gathered-at-kabul\/","title":{"rendered":"Afghan PM meets special envoys of neighbouring in Kabul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Russia, China, Pakistan special representative first time arrives in Kabul after Taliban takeover<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ISLAMABAD, Sep 22 (Asia Free Press): The acting Afghan Prime Minister Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund on Tuesday met with Special Representatives of Russia, China and Pakistan in the Kabul Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the official website of Afghan Taliban Al Emarah the acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and other key officials of the Afghan government attended the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was the first visit of the Russia\u2019s special envoy for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov, his Chinese counterpart Yue Xiaoyong and Pakistan\u2019s Mohammad Sadiq Khan to arrived in Kabul after Taliban takeover the capital last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The special envoys also meet with former President Hamid Karzai and chief executive Abdullah Abdullah and discussed the latest situation in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey emphasized the formation of an inclusive government acceptable to all, peace, stability, moderate policy, respecting women\u2019s rights, equal right of education for all Afghans &amp; regional cooperation,\u201d tweeted Abdullah Abdullah, the former chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe chairman of the high peace council [Abdullah Abdullah] and the former president thanked these countries [Russia, China and Pakistan] for their cooperation\u2026for the welfare of Afghanistan,\u201d said Karzai\u2019s office in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier in the day, Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid praised Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan&#8217;s efforts for peace and stability in Afghanistan, according to state-run media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the news conference, Mujahid, responding to a question regarding Khan&#8217;s statements on the current crisis in Afghanistan, said the Pakistani premier&#8217;s statements are positive and that the Taliban do not consider the remarks interference in his country&#8217;s affairs, Radio Pakistan reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mujahid lauded the active roles of Pakistan, China and Qatar in the current situation and said they would welcome the positive role of other countries as well for peace and stability in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, Khan announced to initiate dialogue with Afghan Taliban for an inclusive government in Kabul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter meetings in Dushanbe with leaders of Afghanistan\u2019s neighbours &amp; especially a lengthy discussion with Tajikistan\u2019s President Emomali Rahmon, I have initiated a dialogue with the Taliban for an inclusive Afghan govt to include Tajiks, Hazaras &amp; Uzbeks,\u201d Khan tweeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Russia, China, Pakistan special representative first time arrives in Kabul after Taliban takeover ISLAMABAD, Sep 22 (Asia Free Press): The acting Afghan Prime Minister Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund on Tuesday met with Special Representatives of Russia, China and Pakistan in the Kabul Palace.
