KABUL (BNA) The foundation stone for a new minaret was laid at the Pul-e-Sorkh Square in Kabul city, the Kabul Municipality said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The foundation stone of the Ghazni\u2019s historical minaret was laid in Pul-e-Sorkh Square of Kabul city, by the head of the cultural affairs of the Kabul Municipality Qari Wali Gul Jawad and Mohammad Sulaiman Khuram Deputy of the Afghan Wireless Communication Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the ceremony, Qari Jawad said,\u201d Beautification program will be implemented throughout the city with the preservation of historical and national values.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe historic minaret of Ghazni province is being built with the old architectural style in a standard and basic manner, with a height of 13 meters, using domestic products, in cooperation with Afghan Wireless Company, within two months, to make a positive change in the appearance of the area,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This 13-meter-high minaret will replicate the historical Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi\u2019s minaret in Ghazni province.
The minaret is being funded by the Afghan Wireless Communication Company, AWCC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the AWCC deputy said, \u201cThe minaret will be built according to the prepared design and the old architectural style with better quality and in a basic and standard way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
