Prime Minister Imran Khan says this is rare opportunity to accept new reality in Afghanistan, work for bringing last peace in war-torn country<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISLAMABAD, September,16 (Asia Free Press): Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said the international community should accept the new reality in Afghanistan and help the people of war-torn country to bringing lasting peace in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the the 20th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Heads of State (SCO-CHS) Summit in Tajikistan\u2019s capital, Dushanbe, Khan said this is a moment to stand by the Afghan people, firmly and unequivocally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe sudden change of the previous government which surprised everyone, the takeover by the Taliban, and the full withdrawal of foreign forces, has established a new reality in Afghanistan,\u201d Pakistani premier said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat all this happened without bloodshed, without civil war, and without mass exodus of refugees, should be a matter of relief.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talking about the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, he said world should come forward to prevent a humanitarian crisis and an economic meltdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe must remember that the previous government depended heavily on foreign aid and its removal could lead to economic collapse,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commending the UN Secretary General and UN agencies for leading from the front in mobilizing international support for the immediately needed humanitarian assistance, Pakistani premier said that his country has extended all possible support in the provision and facilitation of humanitarian relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe believe positive engagement of the international community with Afghanistan is extremely important.There is a rare opportunity to finally end the 40 years of war in Afghanistan; this moment should not be squandered,\u201d he said and warned that It would be unwise at this critical juncture to spread negativity, or indulge in mischievous propaganda, as some spoilers have sought to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis will only serve to undermine the prospects for peace, to the detriment of Afghan people,\u201d Khan said without naming India as New Delhi media spreading fake news to create chaotic situation in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan which is hosting over 4 million Afghan refugees from last 40 years, Khan said his country has continuously suffered from the spill-over of conflict and instability in Afghanistan and Pakistan has an abiding interest in a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe will continue to support a stable, sovereign and prosperous Afghanistan,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State terrorism need to stop<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Khan warned that the fight against terror would not be won the world ignoring state terrorism, perpetrated against people living under foreign occupation in disputed territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor decades, Pakistan has suffered from terrorism that was planned, supported, financed and orchestrated by state entities from across our border.Outside the active zones of conflict, no other country has suffered more than Pakistan,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan always accusing India for sponsoring terrorism in its country as New Delhi was actively involved in terror attacks across Pakistan from its terror sanctuaries in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, Pakistan intelligence agencies arrested Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was a serving officer in the Indian Navy, had been involved in carrying out espionage and sabotage in Pakistan\u2019s Karachi city and Balochistan province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have suffered over 80,000 casualties and economic losses in excess of U.S. $150 billion, apart for millions who internal displacement,\u201d Khan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistani premier urged the SCO states to condemned the Unilateral and illegal measures to change the status of disputed territories which is violation of Security Council resolutions run counter to this objective<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSuch measures must be condemned and opposed firmly for being in violation of the SCO Charter and its well-established principles of inter-state relations,\u201d he said while referring the Indian government illegal actions in Kashmir in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe believe faithfully implementing UN Security Council resolutions for peaceful settlement of outstanding disputes is a necessary condition for peace, and indispensible for creating an environment of cooperation,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Aug. 5, 2019, the Indian government stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its autonomous status and divided it into two centrally ruled territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
