Canva<\/a>, an online graphic design tool, confirmed on Tuesday that its users were facing issues in uploading images to the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of early 2024, the platform \u2014 which offers free as well as paid premium subscriptions \u2014 had more than 170 million<\/a> users, who use it to create social media content, presentations, and videos, among other material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Canvastatus.com<\/a>, which shows real-time data on system performance, two issues were reported today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An error<\/a> reported at 9:54am (Pakistan time) read: \u201cWe are aware of an issue where users are unable to upload images and are currently investigating.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dawn.com<\/em> staffers were also unable to upload any images to the platform. An error displayed upon uploading pictures read: \u201cYou might be logged out, offline or Canva\u2019s servers are unreachable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When users started reporting the issue, in response to one such query<\/a>, Canva\u2019s official X account had said<\/a> at 10am: \u201cCan you try clearing your cache, cookies, and browser history, then refresh the page? You can also try accessing our platform from a different browser.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly later, the platform said<\/a> it was working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, another issue<\/a> reported at 10:16am (Pakistan time) pertained to premium subscriptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re aware of issues affecting PayPal payments, as well as publishing designs with premium elements \u2014 including for Canva Pro and Teams users subscribed via PayPal, even when no payment is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur team is actively working on a fix and will share updates as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Canva, the incident affected \u201cdownloading designs and billing and subscriptions\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In July last year, technology giant Microsoft apologised<\/a> after thousands of people across the world reported issues with its products, ranging from email service Outlook to the hit game Minecraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The issues had come less than two weeks after a major global IT outage<\/a> left over 8m computers using Microsoft systems inaccessible, impacting healthcare and travel. The breakdown stemmed from a flaw in a test software by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resulting outage of Microsoft\u2019s cloud computing suites had led to flights being grounded, news outlets unable to broadcast information, and operations in brokerage houses being hindered.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
