Taylor Swift, a self-declared \u201cchildless cat lady,\u201d has endorsed Kamala Harris for president of the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The global megastar broke her silence on the current state of US politics, voicing support for Harris over Donald Trump for the White House, and calling the Democratic candidate a \u201csteady-handed, gifted leader.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,\u201d she posted on Instagram in the minutes following a televised presidential debate that saw the candidates face off for the first time, which Swift said she had watched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,\u201d Swift wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
