{"id":754,"date":"2021-09-22T08:25:13","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T08:25:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.asiafreepress.com\/?p=754"},"modified":"2021-09-22T16:55:53","modified_gmt":"2021-09-22T16:55:53","slug":"afghan-government-apologises-to-pakistan-over-torkham-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asiafreepress.com\/en\/asia\/afghanistan\/afghan-government-apologises-to-pakistan-over-torkham-incident\/","title":{"rendered":"Afghan government apologies to Pakistan over Torkham incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Taliban spokesman says all culprits involved in disrespected Pakistan flag arrested<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KABUL, Sep 22 (Asia Free Press): Afghan government on Wednesday apologized to Pakistan over flag removal from aid trucks incident at Torkham border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the incident has shocked them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe all shocked by that incident and all cabinet members condemned it,\u201d Mujahid told Asia Free Press (AFP).<br>\u201cThat incident would hurt our Pakistani brothers and sisters and we apologise to them,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government spokesman added that immediate action was taken by authorities and arrested all those security guards and civilians who were involved in that \u201cbad incident\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPakistan appreciate Pakistan help to stand with Afghan people in this difficult time,\u201d Mujahid said<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday, some border security guards and civilian removed Pakistan flag from aid trucks that carrying foods, medicines to Afghanistan at Torkham border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video of said incident later got viral on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan is currently actively involved in humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan as Islamabad so far sent four C-130 and over 20 containers loaded with food items and medicines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the country\u2019s Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also engaged with international community stressing them to help Afghan people to halt the humanitarian crisis in war-torn country.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Taliban spokesman says all culprits involved in disrespected Pakistan flag arrested KABUL, Sep 22 (Asia Free Press): Afghan government on Wednesday apologized to Pakistan over flag removal from aid trucks incident at Torkham border.
