The attack led to killings of three teachers, two volunteers and a student, the local police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;A drive is underway to arrest those responsible for the incident,&#8221; police superintendent Shihab Kaiser Khan has told Reuters, adding one Rohingya man with weapons and ammunition had been taken into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around 1 million Rohingya live in the refugee camps in southern Bangladesh, most of them arrived after fleeing Myanmar during a military crackdown in 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There has been an increase in violence inside the settlements, where armed gangs are vying for power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, gunmen shot and killed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asiafreepress.com\/en\/asia\/bangladeshs-fm-assures-prompt-action-against-rohingya-leaders-assasins\/\">prominent Rohingya Muslim leader<\/a> in the camps.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad, Oct. 22, (Asia Free Press): At least six people were killed in an attack at a Rohingya camp in Bangladesh&#8217;s Cox Bazar on Friday, it is the latest incident of violence in the world&#8217;s largest refugee settlement, according to Reuters.
