Bangladesh\u2019s Premier Sheikh Hasina has rebuked India as the country has been rocked by communal violence targeting its Hindu minority as they celebrated the festival of Durga Puja, reported Free Press Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe rise of global terrorism also has had its impact on our country. Countering this is not only our responsibility, and neighbouring countries like India should also remain vigilant,\u201d Hasina said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIndia did help us in the liberation war (of 1971) and we will remain ever grateful for the support\u2026 But they (India) have to be aware that such incidents should not take place there which would have an impact on Bangladesh, and the Hindus in our country face attacks,\u201d Hasina added.
Mob violence in Bangladesh started after rumours spread through social media that a copy of the Quran had been desecrated at a puja pandal .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The country\u2019s prime minister Sheikh Hasina, speaking to devotees at Bangladesh\u2019s most prominent Hindu temple in Dhaka, promised that the people responsible for the violence would be \u201chunted down\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
