{"id":1635,"date":"2021-10-14T14:58:42","date_gmt":"2021-10-14T14:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.asiafreepress.com\/?p=1635"},"modified":"2021-11-10T18:28:47","modified_gmt":"2021-11-10T13:28:47","slug":"azerbaijans-44-days-of-patriotic-war-photo-exhibition-in-islamabad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asiafreepress.com\/en\/multimedia\/azerbaijans-44-days-of-patriotic-war-photo-exhibition-in-islamabad\/","title":{"rendered":"Azerbaijan\u2019s &#8217;44 Days of Patriotic War&#8217; &#8211; Photo Exhibition held in Islamabad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Oct 14 (Asia Free Press): An exhibition dedicated to the &#8217;44 Days of Patriotic War&#8217; of Azerbaijan was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan at Centaurus, the biggest Shopping Mall in Islamabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest big-scale clashes in Karabakh erupted last fall, on Sept 27, 2020, when the Armenian army launched attacks on civilians and Azerbaijani forces &#8211; violated several humanitarian cease-fire agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The war showed who the actual &#8220;friends and brothers&#8221; were and supported Baku&#8217;s just stance in the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, told Asia Free Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Azerbaijan\u2019s &#039;44 Days of Patriotic War&#039; - Photo Exhibition held in Islamabad\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gRt7wBL2Wlw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><figcaption>Exhibition dedicated 44 Days of Patriotic War of Azerbaijan in Islamabad <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>He thanked Pakistan and Turkey for their moral and political support during the patriotic war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Before the liberation of our territory, Pakistan had supported Azerbaijan in all four UN resolutions against Armenia, and Pakistan had not yet recognized Armenia, the occupier country,&#8221; He said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 44-day conflict ended under a deal signed on Nov 10; Azerbaijan liberated several cities and nearly 300 settlements and villages from Armenia&#8217;s nearly three-decade occupation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;In that long war, more than 1 million Azerbaijani had forced to refuge and brought thousands of martyrs to the country&#8221;, Azerbaijan envoy to Pakistan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the Azerbaijani government had approached the International Court of Justice and file a case against the war crimes committed by Armenia to make them accountable for their crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People from all walks of life attended the event to show solidarity with their Azerbaijani brothers and sisters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The liberation of Karabakh and defeat of Armenian forces was our united efforts, and we finally liberated our territory,&#8221; Mrs Konul from Azerbaijan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Relations between the former Soviet republics of Armenia and Azerbaijan have been tense since 1991 when the Armenian military occupied Nagorno-Karabakh, also known as Upper Karabakh, a territory internationally was recognized as part of Azerbaijan and seven adjacent regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sept 27 last year, new clashes erupted that saw the Armenian army launched attacks on civilians and Azerbaijani forces and violated several humanitarian cease-fire agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 44-day war, Azerbaijan liberated several cities and nearly 300 settlements and villages occupied for almost three decades.<br>On Nov 10, 2020 cease-fire deal mediated by Russia was signed that is seen as a victory for Azerbaijan and a defeat for Armenia, whose armed forces withdrew in line with the agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before this victory, about 20% of Azerbaijan&#8217;s territory had been under the occupation of Armenia.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Oct 14 (Asia Free Press): An exhibition dedicated to the &#8217;44 Days of Patriotic War&#8217; of Azerbaijan was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan at Centaurus, the biggest Shopping Mall in Islamabad.
